Synopsis
White as a color is just a fluid concept. The white of ice, the white of paper, the white of milk, the white of clouds, the white of air… whether liquid or solid, the whites are all different and each of them owns unique property. The fusion of Materials and Eyes reveal the truth of colors. Sliding Whites is an experiment on the TV Cells, the representation of color and the originality of the digital image.
Artist Statement
Sculpture, painting, photography or whatever art form would make use of their medium's characteristics in order to reflect a unique perceptual experience. I would say, “Sliding Whites” is a medium specific video short, which tries to disassemble television image into its primitive element – “TV Cells”, so as to reveal the aura of specific visual media – VIDEO. After all, the “only TV Cells given image” float on a rhythmic human's movement on WHITE.
The representation of an image has it unique way in different media.

Statement of WRO 05 Jury
Sliding Whites is a poetic work that deals with coincidence and structure. Almost like a research project that tries to analyze the relationship between human movement and a technical structure (the monitor screen in this case). It is most joyful to watch the elegant and constantly changing movements. The author successfully seduces us to listen to his poetic rhymes in white.
